Before the appointment
Confirm the location, massage style, duration, date, time, and price. Eat according to your normal comfort rather than arriving immediately after a very heavy meal. Showering before the appointment is a matter of normal personal comfort and cleanliness, not a special ritual.
What to wear
Wear comfortable clothes for arriving and leaving. You will have privacy to prepare. The level of undressing is discussed professionally and should remain within your comfort. Professional draping is used throughout the session.
The first conversation
Before hands-on work, we discuss the style, pressure, general focus areas, and anything you want avoided. You can use simple preference language such as “medium pressure,” “mostly relaxing,” or “extra time for shoulders.” The booking form should not collect detailed diagnoses or medical history.
How pressure is chosen
Pressure starts with the agreed preference and is adjusted through feedback. You do not have to tolerate pain to receive a worthwhile session. Ask for less pressure, more pressure, a different position, or a pause whenever needed.
How draping works
Clean linens and towels are used to cover the body, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. Professional boundaries apply in the studio and at home.
Massage oil, cream, and scent
Unscented massage cream or aromatic massage oil is available. If product sensitivity is a concern, raise it before the session so the practical options can be discussed without making a medical claim.
After the session
Take a moment before standing, get ready privately, and return to your day at a comfortable pace. There is no need to follow exaggerated detox instructions. Normal hydration and routine self-care are generally sufficient unless a qualified health professional has advised otherwise.
